Tom Ford Recruiting Womenswear Designers

Tom Ford has confirmed he’ll launch womenswear under his namesake label. In October he announced he was looking for financing, and everyone in fashion who’s been positively shvitzing over his return to the ladies’ market wondered and hoped he’d come back for fall 2010. Seeing as the fall 2010 shows are almost over, that’s evidently not happening. But WWD has heard Ford is quietly recruiting womenswear designers, and may have an accessories specialist onboard.

G1950 and Porter come together once again to release a collection of small accessories. The theme of a faux crocodile leather is used over two different colors for both a coin case and a card case. Having built a solid reputation and strong following throughout the past few years, Creative Recreation continues its onward march with a new set of colorways for Spring 2010, offered on three of the brand’s more popular styles. Both the Cesario and Testa, as well as the Dicoco, receive special color makeups, all being made exclusive to Barneys New York. Kate Moss and Geri Halliwell teamed up to help supermodel friend Naomi Campbell raise much-needed funds for the women and babies of Haiti in London last night.


Fashion For Relief Haiti was a star-studded catwalk show organised by Naomi who called in celebrity friends including a pregnant Denise Van Outen, Geri Halliwell, Girls Aloud singers Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh and even Dame Shirley Bassey to strut their stuff for a good cause.

Designer Tracy Reese Debuts Women’s RTW 2010
