This season, MAC has unveiled its newest Viva Glam spokespersons: ’80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper and “Telephone” darling Lady Gaga. The pairing is sheer genius: Lauper challenged social norms in her day with her quirky, experimental, but always fun sense of style, while Gaga has conquered global stages with her often outlandish and avant-garde outfits, which emphasize the performance art aspects of her repertoire. The two lipstick shades corresponding to Cyndi and Gaga, meanwhile, feature their autograph along the inside of the tube.
Lady Gaga + Cyndi Lauper’s MAC Campaign
Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper turned up at Lucky Cheng’s in New York City to launch their joint campaign as the new faces of MAC’s AIDS Fund and celebrate their new lipsticks: Viva Glam Gaga and Viva Glam Cyndi. 100% of the selling costs of the $14 lipsticks, a bright blue pink and a light coral red, goes to the MAC Aids Fund, which supports those affected by the disease.
